 Living in Minnesota, I would spend time looking up treatment centers before I would even be willing to accept help. Finding treatment centers was hard, even on the internet. Information was jumbled, and there wasn’t a central location to find unbiased opinions.

There were also a lot of scams as I looked into rehab – patient brokers who earn their living based on what insurance pays out, pay-for-play centers who artificially inflate their reviews and position in search results. Trying to get help opened up my eyes to how horrible the process of finding help can be.

I eventually lost everything and became homeless due to my dependence on alcohol and opiates. I found help in Arizona, and my goal now is to help others find what's right for them – not the most expensive, not the one who buys the best reviews – the right recovery plan for each persons specific needs.

We opened up sober living houses here in the valley to help with the process. I will continue to do my best to set up people for successful long term sobriety. My goal is to get people excited about staying sober and to be part of their sobriety journey. One that hopefully leads them back to their families and being strong members of their respected communities.
